Alison Doody
Alison Doody was born in Dublin in 1966, in the middle class family. Doody is the youngest of three siblings. She was a student at a nunnery, and developed an interest for art. Following a short period her return to the National College of Fine Arts in Dublin. Then, in the absence of drive, she decided to take some time off and gave her ten months. As time passed, she was having a drink with friends at a cafe, the still photographer approached her and inquired if she was interested in modelling. As if she had pocket money, she decided to say yes. In no time, she began working professionally as model. She was able to travel the world with her commercial ventures after completing modeling agreements. The casting director saw her modeling work one day and advised her to pursue acting. She was sent to London at age 19, in which she was able to win an audition to appear in the brand new James Bond film, A View to a Kill (1985). She so loved acting that she worked in this direction. Her debut film was followed by two more of TV dramas that were shot in London and Dublin. Then, her breakthrough came in 1989, when she portrayed her role as the Aryan Seductress Dr. Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
